Our board is expanding and we couldn't be more excited to welcome the new additions!
Keri Lupien, Vice President
Keri worked in the fine wine sales department of Pine State Beverage for ten years and now spends her time raising her children, teaching her cat to fetch, and working in her husband's greenhouse business, Moose Crossing Garden Center in Waldoboro. When her eldest child showed interest in theater she realized how important it was to invest time, energy, and money into The Waldo before it was lost forever. After all, her first date with her husband was at The Waldo! Kerri is actively involved in the Midcoast Conversancy and has organized successful events for the Hidden Valley Nature Center. Keri is spearheading the event organization for the Raise the Roof Barn Party. Her energy and enthusiasm are a welcome addition to our team.
Lucas McNelly, Board Member
Lucas played Waldoboro Little League on the Bears, where he was a first baseman. He lived "away" for a while, then found himself back in town running a soap store with his wife, Amanda. While away, he became a writer and filmmaker. His films have screened all over the world to tens of millions of people. He once lost an internet popularity contest to Dwight from the Office by 1 vote. He has written for Filmmaker Magazine, the Huffington Post, Film Threat, and a bunch of other websites that no longer exist. Lucas is also recognized as an expert on crowdfunding. He holds 9 different crowdfunding records and has been profiled in the Washington Post and Buzzfeed News. He was once flown to Berlin to speak on the subject. This experience makes him an invaluable asset to our fundraising efforts. Lucas can often be found volunteering his time for the Medomak Varsity basketball team. He is also organizing the Waldoboro Day 5k!
Erin Sproul, Board Member
Erin has been involved in community theatre since she was a child in New Hampshire. Since moving to Maine in 1998, she's received a BFA in Creative Writing and English from the University of Maine at Farmington, done graduate work in composition at UMaine, worked backstage at Lakewood Theatre in Skowhegan, done youth summer theatre camps in Central Maine, had two daughters, become a full-time media manager / public relations consultant, and learned to make some mean Maine wild blueberry pancakes, maybe the best ever. She's excited to be part of both the events and public relations committees and to help tell the story of The Waldo; past, present, and future.
Amanda Stover, Board Member
Amanda Stover is a logistics and operations analyst, media consultant, and project manager. Originally from Vermont, Amanda is a resident of Belfast but has worked locally for several years. When not working, she is involved in several community activities, including theater, music, and coaching youth sports. Amanda brings a wealth of experience to both the events and public relations committees. She is also known on the karaoke circuit and has won the triple crown of lip sync battles.
Next time you see one of them around town, make sure to stop and talk to them about the theatre. They'd love it.
We're all excited about the future of The Waldo.
